This summer, Bierbath invites homebrewers to showcase their best summer-friendly beers, compete for incredible prizes, and receive valuable feedback from expert judges—including local brewery representatives.
Our Brew-Off Summer Edition is all about celebrating the art of homebrewing while focusing on refreshing, crisp beers perfect for the summer season. Whether you're an experienced homebrewer or just starting out, this is your chance to share your craft with the community and get recognized for your brewing skills.
Crisp, clean, and refreshing beers with subtle malt character and balanced hop bitterness.
Examples: Helles, Kölsch, Pilsner, Mexican Lager
Light, refreshing beers with a significant wheat content, often featuring fruity and spicy notes.
Examples: Hefeweizen, Witbier, American Wheat
Hop-forward beers with citrus, pine, and tropical fruit characteristics, balanced with a solid malt backbone.
Examples: Session IPA, Hazy IPA, Fruited IPAs
Tart, refreshing beers often featuring fruit additions that complement the base beer style.
Examples: Berliner Weisse, Gose, Farmhouse Ales
Easy-drinking beers with subtle malt sweetness and low to moderate hop character.
Examples: Blonde Ale, Golden Ale, Cream Ale
Additional light, summer-friendly beer styles that don't fit neatly into other categories.
Examples: Radler, Shandy, Table Beer
Dark, roasty beers with chocolate, coffee, and caramel notes.
Beers aged in wooden barrels, often taking on characteristics of the barrel's previous contents.
High-alcohol beers with intense malt character and full body.
Examples: Barleywine, Scotch Ale, Doppelbock
Beers featuring prominent malt character with toasty, bready, and caramel notes.
Examples: Schwarzbier, Dunkel, Bocks
Seasonal beers featuring warming spices and higher alcohol content.

Beers will be evaluated based on aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall impression.
Judging will be conducted by expert brewers from local breweries. (To be Announced)
Submit 3 unmarked 12 oz. bottles, each with a label displaying your ticket number and beer style only.
Open to amateur brewers 21+ using non-commercial equipment.
